recently a friend called me a told me she learned the power of prayer. Her story greatly encouraged me to pick something to pray. It is cool to see this is all God's timing when you see the events laid out behind and before you because......
Leah Wilson and I meet every thursday morning to talk about the week, challenge each other, and pray. We had been praying for the girls on our soccer team and just that Christ would make himself known to everyone. We then began to pray specifics so we could see Christ working. Never generalize your prayer life because it can be hard to see God in the situation; praying for specifics allows you to see him working. we were praying the Lord would provide for us a Danish Bible for our friend Kat from denmark! it is hard for her to do the homework here at school reading from a Bible that is in her second language. The Bible is hard enough for me to understand at times. we also wanted her to have it for the sake of getting to know who God is! We prayed and prayed every week. The cheapest one we could find was $92. we kept praying. at this point i was having doubts and was skeptical of the idea that the Bible was just going to appear and be sitting on a table or something. As my friend said, it was like i prayed for it but wasnt really believing it. 5 days ago, i told my friend that we should pray about this more dilegently that you ever had prayed for something before. Sure enough a few days later, someone wanted to provide the Bible for us. They wouldnt accept any money from us; it was just something they wanted to do. PTL (praise the Lord). Once it comes in we are going to give it to her! It is awesome to me that God used a girl from back home to tell me the peace and excitement she found with prayer to impact a situation in a different state! God works in mysterious ways....

This song speaks for itself. but to add my two cents...There is healing in Jesus Christ's name. in today's world we have forgotten about healing. God calls us to practice this in His name. when was the last time you were around someone who was healed or even know someone that has been healed? i am on a college campus where healing is happening every day. i am not just speaking of physical healing but spiritual healing also. from experience, there is no greater peace you can ever find than that of Jesus Christ. i want nothing more than God to use me in the power of healing. 2 years ago i was so hardened to the idea that healing and miracles still take place. i had these thoughts because until you experience them for yourself you will always be suspicious. God works in mysterious way and who am I to question if that was God or not that healed this person?? of course it was!! I love Hab. 3:2-LORD, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, LORD. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy. This verse is my prayer today.
